Field Stone Border Collies, Principal Owner/Breeder/Family Dog Mediator/Trainer

Field Stone Border Collies (FSBC) has focused on breeding quality Border Collies for over 15 years. Our puppies have been bred for the intellect, stamina and loyalty that Border Collies are known for, and placed with people who understand the Border Collie breed and commit to their requirements for activity and engagement.

The next chapter in our legacy is to use our concentrated learning and skills to help Border Collie families, and dog families in general, to understand the behavioral challenges with their dog(s). We will no longer be breeding in our kennel. That part of our business has reached its’ end after years of focus. Our new business is helping to educate and give information to help you find the best breed fit for you and your family, help you understand how to find reputable breeders, and help you learn how to pick a puppy that could be your best fit. That’s what this website is now focusing on. We also help breeders find information on how to potentially resolve some of the most common breeding and whelping issues and discuss current “best practices” in breeding and whelping.

We use a comprehensive view to drill down on and understand the issues from the ground up, taking into consideration the LEARNING, ENVIRONMENT, GENETICS and SELF (L.E.G.S.) of each dog.

We have a great deal of experience with puppies from birth to 2 years of age and can help you learn about and plan for socialization, behavior challenges and training for your  puppy even before you bring them home.

We excel at training puppies in the critical period of socialization from 8 to 20 weeks. Information you will find on our website for puppies 20 weeks to two years helps you set them up for success in their adult life and prepare for that “well rounded” dog you are hoping for. Of course, we are Border Collie specialists at any age and can help you look at information across the lifespan.

If you’re looking for information to help you with your puppy or dog or just need a push in the right direction to help you understand and train them, please join us here on fieldstonebordercollies.net!
